About CVBoost

CVBoost is a free CV builder, CV checker, CV rating and cover letter tool built for job seekers who want fast, honest feedback without creating an account or paying for a subscription.

Every check runs directly in your browser. We built CVBoost because most CV tools either lock real feedback behind a paywall, force a signup before showing a single result, or require you to upload your personal data — including a photo, in many builders — to a third-party server. CVBoost does none of that: your CV, your cover letter, and any photo you add stay in your own browser's local storage.

Why we built it

A CV is often the single most important document in a job search, yet most people write one in isolation, with no clear way to tell if it will actually pass an Applicant Tracking System or catch a recruiter's attention in the few seconds they typically give a first pass. CVBoost's scoring engine was built to close that gap — turning the same checks recruiters and ATS software run into instant, specific, plain-English feedback anyone can act on immediately.

What's included

The CV Builder creates a clean, ATS-safe CV with a live preview and optional photo. The CV Checker scores any CV, built here or elsewhere, out of 100 across eight categories. The Cover Letter Builder turns your key details into a tailored letter that matches your CV. And the free CV Tips page collects the most common fixes we see, in plain language.

Who's behind CVBoost

CVBoost is built and maintained by SWD — Smart Web Developer, a small independent development studio that builds fast, single-purpose web tools. There's no large team and no venture funding behind it — just a focus on shipping tools that work well and respect your data.
